India’s Emergency Healthcare Pioneer joins QCIL

Hyderabad: Dr K. Hari Prasad, the pioneer of India’s emergency healthcare speciality, joined as the Group Chairman and Non- Executive Director of Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL) in his new inning of professional stint.

QCIL includes Care Group of Hospitals, KIMS Health, Kerala & Evercare Group, Bangladesh.

Dr Hari superannuated from Apollo Group of Hospital as the President of Hospitals Division after a successful 28 years of stint. The Apollo Group of Hospitals ensured a grand farewell bid to its highly valued human resource with its founder and Padma Vibhushan Dr Pratap C Reddy personally wishing the former the best for his journey ahead.

A multi-faceted personality and cancer conqueror, Dr Hari stands as an inspiration for many the way he won over the battle of cancer and his physical transformation after being diagnosed with leukemia- a type of blood cancer. He also authored a book I’M Possible documenting his life journey which also includes his phase of life rising as a cricketing star.

Blackstone PE backed QCIL which operates Care Hospitals is the third largest hospital chain in India.

The Hyderabad-based chain will have 5,000 beds after its recent acquisition of Thiruvananthapuram-based KIMS Health.
