Minor bureaucratic reshuffle in Assam

  • IRS Officer Padmapani Bora Relieved of Director Tourism Charge
  • ACS officer Ranoj Kumar Borkataky will take over as the new Director of Tourism
  • Md. Hanif made Director of Inland Water Transport Department

Several key IAS, IRS and ACS officers have been transferred by the Assam government. According to a notification issued by the Personnel (A) department, Akash Deep, Commissioner and Secretary to the Assam Government, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Bodoland Territorial Region, Kokrajhar.

IAS officer Dr Karuna Kumari, who was handling the additional charge of Director of Training at Assam Administrative Staff College, has been relieved from her post. IRS officer Padmapani Bora, who was handling the additional charge of Director Tourism, Assam, has also been relieved from this post.

ACS officer Ranoj Kumar Borkataky has been made Director, Tourism, while ACS officers Farouk Alam has been posted as Commissioner and Secretary to the Assam government’s Environment and Forest Department and Md. Hanif made Director of Inland Water Transport Department.
