The last 50 years has witnessed a shift from manufacturing to PC to internet and the digital revolution. Digital transformation is critical and it has become a necessity for all sectors to adapt to technology. There is a need for organizations to arm their manpower with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cyber Security etc. The good news is that there is a shortage of people and Assam with its young population is poised to take the opportunities the world has to offer, said Sam Alva, Chief Evangelist, ValueLabs at the IndiGlobal Bharat Summit held recently at IIT Guwahati. The two-day mega summit was organised by IndiGlobal Media Network in association with the Government of Assam.

Multinational companies tap Indian talent and institutions should train students in the right skills. The opportunities are many but people need to be ready to take it. We started with three people and now we are 7,000 strong. The demand-supply gap is huge and Assam needs to take advantage. As per estimates, the gap by end of 2021 was 5 million and this number would grow exponentially in the next few years. Value Labs started free computer based learning programme for students and has done a lot of CSR in the state of Assam. The state can take the lead and help worldwide.
