Hyderabad: Senior IAS officers Navin Mittal and M. Dana Kishore have been promoted to the Apex Scale (Level 17), the highest rank in the Indian Administrative Service. The promotions will take effect from January 1, 2026, or from the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later.
Both officers will continue in their present roles as Special Chief Secretaries. Navin Mittal remains in charge of the Energy Department, while M. Dana Kishore continues to head the Labour, Employment, Training and Factories Department, ensuring continuity in two critical governance sectors.
The government has also promoted two senior IPS officers to the rank of Additional Director General of Police. Akun Sabharwal, who was on central deputation, and G. Sudheer Babu, Rachakonda Police Commissioner, have been elevated to the ADGP rank.
In addition, fourteen IAS officers of the 2017 batch have been granted the Junior Administrative Grade scale. They include Rizwanbasha Shaik, Mikkilineni Manu Choudary, Muzammil Khan, Venkatesh Dhotre, Santhosh, Rajarshi Shah, Prateek, Ila Tripathi, Sneha Shabarish, Rahul Sharma, Divakara TS, Kota Sreevatsa, P. Katyayani Devi and E. V. Narsimha Reddy.
All the promoted IAS officers will continue in their current postings following the upgrade.
