Flight Disruptions Continue to Trouble Air Passengers Across India

New Delhi: Air travel disruptions in India worsened on December 15, 2025, with large scale flight delays and cancellations affecting thousands of passengers across major airports. According to airport sources, over 300 flights were delayed and nearly 90 flights were cancelled nationwide during the day, with Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru among the worst hit. IndiGo alone accounted for a significant share of the cancellations, followed by other carriers including Air India Express and Akasa Air.

Many IndiGo passengers received delay alerts just a few hours before departure, only to later find their flights cancelled. Several were redirected to connecting flights from different terminals at Delhi airport, but even those flights were delayed or called off, compounding the inconvenience. Passengers reported long waiting hours, missed connections and lack of clear communication.
