Future Health Index (FHI) 2021 India Report released by the Royal Philips a global player in health technology has highlighted that at least 94 % health care leaders in India would like to invest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for their healthcare facilities or hospitals. The FHI report is titled “A Resilient Future: Healthcare leaders look beyond the crisis.” Research by FHI has been conducted across 14 countries, including India. It can be termed the largest global survey of its kind that analyses the current and future priorities of healthcare leaders across the globe.
This year’s survey was aimed at gathering feedback from healthcare leaders in multiple leadership roles like executive officers, financial officers, technology and information officers, operating officers and more, to explore the challenges they have faced during the pandemic. The survey was also designed to get an insight on the current and future priorities of the leaders so that a new vision for the future of healthcare gets revealed from their feedback. Apart from 94% response towards artificial intelligence as part of their future plans, 79% of the leaders in India have been of the opinion that telehealth is one of the high investment areas. 75% believed that shifting to remote technology is top priority for them.
