50,000 unemployed youth to receive skill training under Rail Kaushal Vikash Yojana

Government of India is all set to impart skills training to 50,000 unemployed youth under the Rail Kaushal Vikash Yojana (RKVY). It is an initiative under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana. The yojana has been unveiled by Railway Minister, Ashvini Vaishnaw. It is aimed to bring qualitative improvement in technical skills in various trades (electrical, fitter, welding, machinist) to enhance employability and entrepreneurship of the youth. It is a free of cost skill development program for matric pass students in the age group of 18-35 years. The training is in both online and offline mode. A training certificate would be provided after successful completion of the program. Training would be imparted through institutes spread all across India. There is only 5 days window to apply for this training program which ends on 21st September.
