Telangana’s Transformative Zero Liquid Discharge Plant

Hyderabad: Telangana State got its first Zero Liquid Discharge Plant recently in the TSIIC Pashamylaram Industrial part. The much-needed facility to treat and reuse hazardous pharmaceutical wastewater is a transformative approach for eco-friendly industrial development.

Telangana Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, Duddilla Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility that can treat 480 kilolitres of industrial wastewater per day, the plant utilizes eco-friendly natural gas for zero-emission operations.

This state-of-the-art facility has been developed in collaboration with Pashamylaram Common Infrastructure Private Limited which will deliver sustainable wastewater treatment solutions by reclaiming and reusing every drop of water and ensuring efficient disposal of pharmacological waste.

RE Sustainability Managing Director, Goutham Reddy stated that through the collaborative effort among the industry representatives, the plant optimizes expenditures, deploys state-of-the-art technology, and promotes enhanced cooperation, collectively minimizing pollution levels. “I am proud that the industry and sustainability is going hand-in-hand,” he said.
