Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has informed that a Research and Development Fair of all 23 IITs will be held in the month of November as part of a series of programs being conducted in honour of the 75th year of Indian independence. Pradhan chaired a virtual meeting with the Steering Committee formed for organizing the R&D fair of all IITs.
Pradhan mentioned during the meeting that the fair will lead to enhancement of understanding and would help create awareness across the Indian industries about high technology readiness levels in the IITs and their capabilities of the institution as a whole.
According to the Union Education Minster, the fair would be creating an enabling environment for cutting-edge research across all the areas as envisaged in National Education Policy (NEP). The collaborative initiative by 23 IITs with different segments of Indian industries would enhance ease of living and give rise to several pathbreaking innovations for the benefit of both the Indian as well as global markets.
