Importantly, 1998-batch IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has been retained as Transport Commissioner, Odisha, Cuttack. He has not been newly appointed to that position under this order. Rajesh Kumar also retains additional charge as Special Secretary in the Home Department.
The changes combine district-level police leadership appointments with continuity in senior specialised assignments. The original Home Department notification was not independently retrieved for this report.
