Vakati Karuna is given the responsibility (FAC)

Senior IAS Navin Mittal who is holding the Full Additional Charge (FAC) as the Commissioner, Collegiate and Technical Education, Telangana has been relieved of the responsibilities by the government on Saturday. The 1996 batch IAS officer, who at present is the Principal Secretary (Lands, Revenue and Registration), Revenue department will be succeeded by Vakati Karuna (2004 batch) as the new Chief (FAC) for Collegiate and Technical Education department.
Vakati Karuna is holding the responsibility of Secretary, Education Department at present.
Meanwhile, Navin Mittal was handed the FAC of the posts of Commissioner and Inspector General, Registration and Stamps, Commissioner and Director, Survey Settlement & Land Records and PD, Bhubharathi duly relieving Rahul Bojja, IAS (2000 batch) from the said post.
During his tenure as Commissioner of Collegiate Education and Technical Education, Navin Mital has worked in transforming the higher education system in the state. His efforts in modernising and reorganising the courses in Government colleges has led to an unprecedented 58% growth in student admissions in the last five years.
The senior bureaucrat took a key decision to revise the UG curriculum, making soft skills and employability skills an integral part of the curriculum.
