Bureaucratic Reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: In a sweeping administrative overhaul, the Madhya Pradesh government has issued transfer and posting orders for 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The move, announced early Sunday by the General Administration Department, underscores the state’s push to strengthen district-level governance and streamline departmental leadership.

The transfer orders, dated September 27, take effect immediately and remain valid until further notice. Among the notable changes:

  • Sanjana Jain (2016 batch), currently CEO of the District Panchayat at Satna, will assume charge as Additional Collector in Maihar.
  • Jagdish Kumar Gome (2016 batch), formerly associated with the Tourism Department and MP Tourism Board, will be posted as CEO of District Panchayat, Singrauli.
  • Har Simranpreet Kaur (2018 batch), previously serving as Additional Mission Director at the State Education Centre in Bhopal, is now designated CEO of District Panchayat, Katni.
  • Anjali Joseph Jonathan (2018 batch) transitions from Deputy Secretary in the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development & Employment to CEO, District Panchayat, Harda.
  • Sujan Singh Rawat (2018 batch), previously CEO of District Panchayat Narmadapuram, is now posted in the same capacity in Gwalior.
  • Srishti Deshmukh Gowda (2019 batch), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Additional Collector, Khandwa.
  • Nidhi Singh (2019 batch) moves from Joint Commissioner in Land Records & Settlement (Gwalior) to Additional Labour Commissioner, Indore.
  • Himanshu Jain (2020 batch), formerly CEO of District Panchayat Shivpuri, is now posted to Narmadapuram.
  • Sarjana Yadav (2020 batch) moves from Additional Collector in Jabalpur to CEO of District Panchayat, Sehore.
  • Vaishali Jain (2021 batch), currently Sub-Divisional Officer in Rajgarh, is now appointed CEO, District Panchayat & Additional Collector, Ratlam.
  • Divyanshu Chaudhary (2021 batch), earlier SDO in Mandla, takes on a dual role in Dindori.
  • Srijan Verma (2021 batch) shifts from SDO in Singrauli to CEO, District Panchayat & Additional Collector, Burhanpur.
  • Archana Kumari (2021 batch), previously SDO in Shujalpur, will head the District Panchayat & hold Additional Collector responsibilities in Anuppur.
  • Shivam Prajapati (2021 batch), formerly SDO in Punasa, will now serve in Shahdol as CEO and Additional Collector.
  • Soumya Anand (2021 batch) moves from Assistant Collector in Shahdol to CEO & Additional Collector, Sheopur.
  • Aakip Khan (2023 batch), Assistant Collector in Mandla, is posted as SDO, Pipariya (Narmadapuram).
  • Pankaj Verma (2023 batch), Assistant Collector in Seoni, will become SDO, Punasa (Khandwa).
  • Sapna Anurag Jain, IAS, is appointed Additional Director at the Narmada Valley Development Authority, Indore.

In parallel, the state administration issued fresh transfer orders for a number of State Administrative Service (SAS) officers, further underscoring the government’s intent to rejuvenate leadership across departments:

  • Shailendra Singh Solanki (2007 batch), CEO of the District Panchayat in Sidhi, is now assigned as Additional Director, Narmada Valley Development Authority, Indore.
  • Dr. Ichchhit Gadpale (2008 batch), CEO in Rajgarh, assumes the role of Deputy Secretary in the Home Department.
  • Vijay Raj (2011 batch), CEO of District Panchayat, Shivpuri, is now Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gwalior.
  • Shailendra Singh (2011 batch), CEO of District Panchayat, Satna, moves to Maihar as Additional Collector.
  • Anupama Chauhan (2006 batch), CEO in Shajapur, joins the General Administration Department as Deputy Secretary.
  • Namah Shivay Arjaria (2012 batch), formerly CEO in Chhatarpur, becomes State Protocol Officer, Bhopal.
  • Shashwat Singh Meena (2012 batch), CEO in Mandla, is posted as Deputy Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion.
  • Anjali Shah (2012 batch), CEO in Seoni, is transferred to Narsinghpur as Additional Collector.

The state government describes these transfers as part of regular administrative realignment to infuse energy and ensure efficient governance in key districts and departments. The reshuffle reflects Madhya Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its machinery at grassroots levels and align leadership roles more closely with evolving administrative priorities.
