Government of Karnataka launched the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 through a virtual press conference in the state capital and became the first state to do so. Various programmes towards the implementation of NEP are being launched by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. There would be some milestone changes to launch NEP like revision of curriculum and course structure. All efforts are being made in the direction of clearing the doubts and confusions raised by different stakeholders and people at large so that the implementation is smooth.
Karnataka has set an example for all states by launching NEP. Other states would be able to get a lot of insights by looking at Karnataka’s journey of achievements and challenges while initiating the new policy in its education system.
It was also announced during the virtual launch of NEP that Karnataka will be soon launching the research and development policy with the purpose to boost research and quality research practices in the state so that the country as a whole can benefit.
