Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has joined hands and signed an agreement with Cordelia Cruises, a private company for providing the first indigenous luxury cruise in India. Tourists on board the cruise will have an experience of sailing to exquisite Indian and international destinations like Diu, Goa, Lakshadweep, Kochi, and Sri Lanka from September 18 onwards.

Cordelia Cruises is India’s premium cruise liner. It has the goal to promote and drive the cruise culture in India through luxurious, and stylish experiences that are inherently Indian in flavour. The first phase of the services will enable sailing through Indian destinations with its base at Mumbai, while from May 2022 the cruise will be shifted to Chennai and set sail to destinations in Sri Lanka like Colombo, Galle, Trincomalee and Jaffna.
