The 2nd India-Global Education and Skill Summit was successfully conducted in Bengaluru on June 10. Senior bureaucrats, policy makers, VCs and Registrars of Central, State and Private universities, academicians, educationists, top executives of Ed.Tech companies from various states, delegates and students took part in the daylong conference hosted in Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru.
Government of Karnataka, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood Department and Department of Education were the host partner and IndiGlobal Media Network (A modern and comprehensive research media firm) is the organiser and Knowledge Partner for this important summit.
Karnataka State Collegiate and Technical Education Department, State Higher Education Council (KSHEC), Assam State Government, Andhra Pradesh State Government, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) among other government bodies and councils in the education and skill sector have participated as supporting partners.
Programme Chair of the 2nd IGESS, Dr. Selva Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka has addressed the inaugural session while the Programme Director Sudheer Goutham, Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, IndiGlobal Media Network gave the welcome address.

V. Muralidhara, Director, ICFAI Business School, Bangalore and top executives from Coursera and Sunstone expressed their views on Evolving Landscape of Education and Skill in the inaugural session.
Panel discussions were held in the morning and post-lunch sessions on topics including embracing digital transformation in Higher Education institutions, future of Higher Education in the Digital-First Economy, National Education Policy 2020, Skill Development and Innovative Ecosystem in Institutions, Emerging New Age Universities/Institutions etc. Eminent vice-chancellors, industry leaders, EdTech company representatives enlightened the audience with their thoughts, perspectives and inputs.
A virtual fireside chat was streamed live at the summit in which Roopa Moudgil, IPS, Government of Karnataka shared her journey since childhood to becoming a gritty woman IPS officer with Sudhakar Rao, Director, ICFAI group.
Later in the evening, experienced education and young leaders of education and skill were honoured with prestigious IndiGlobal Awards for the leadership, excellence, Innovation and best practices.
The event also saw the unveiling of posters of IndiGlobal’s next two mega summits in Hyderabad and Guwahati. Dr B Kalyan Chakravarthy, the Programme Chair for Global-Bharat Summit – North-East Edition, December-2022 welcomed the attendees to visit Guwahati for the three-day festival focusing on education, health, governance, innovation, tourism and culture of the north-eastern states.
