Medhavi Skills University

New Delhi: Global pathways, recognised credits, and stronger employability prospects are set to open up for Indian students and youth, as a new international partnership promises smoother academic mobility and work-linked learning opportunities.

The collaboration is expected to help learners earn globally valued qualifications, reduce the cost of overseas education, and access clearer progression routes to higher studies and employment abroad, while beginning their education journey in India.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has signed a landmark Progression Partnership with the Scottish Qualifications Authority

Against this backdrop, Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has signed a landmark Progression Partnership with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), Scotland’s national awarding and qualifications body. The agreement was formalised in New Delhi recently, marking a significant step towards the internationalisation of Indian higher education in line with National Education Policy 2020.

The partnership aims to develop globally aligned, skill-integrated pathways that allow Indian and international learners to pursue work-integrated, credit-bearing programmes in India, with clear progression routes to universities and employment opportunities worldwide. It directly supports the policy vision of integrating vocational and higher education, strengthening credit frameworks, and enhancing global academic linkages.

SQA delegation

A four-member SQA delegation, led by Ms Margaret Curran, International Regional Manager for South Asia, attended the signing ceremony at MSU’s Gurugram office. The event’s Chief Guest was Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, Retd. IAS and former Chairman of NCVET, who underlined the importance of global collaborations in enabling credit mobility, recognition, and lifelong learning.

Under the agreement, MSU will offer work-integrated, credit-mapped programmes aligned with SQA’s international standards. Eligible students will be able to earn SQA qualifications alongside MSU degrees, particularly in high-demand sectors, ensuring strong employability outcomes.

Learners from India as well as South Asia, the GCC, Africa, and ASEAN regions are expected to benefit from internationally recognised credits, dual certification, and the flexibility to complete part of their studies in India before progressing to top-up or higher degrees abroad. By integrating SQA’s quality assurance systems and articulation network, MSU aims to further strengthen global confidence in Indian qualifications.

Pravesh Dudani

Speaking on the occasion, Pravesh Dudani, Founder and Chancellor of MSU, said the partnership brings global opportunities closer to Indian learners and reinforces India’s position as a hub of quality education.

Ms Margaret Curran of SQA said the collaboration would help create seamless pathways that enhance academic mobility and expand international opportunities for students. Kuldip Sarma, Co-Founder and Pro-Chancellor of MSU, added that combining SQA’s frameworks with MSU’s industry-linked model would offer learners faster and more affordable routes to global progression.
