Senior IPS officers – Umesh Sharraff (1989), Anjani Kumar (1990), Govind Singh (1990), and Ravi Gupta (1990) have been empanelled to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in the state of Telangana. Umesh Sharraf has been designated to the post of Commissioner of Printing and Stationery. Govind Singh has been designated to the post of ADG of Crime Investigation Department, Anjani Kumar as City Police Commissioner, and Ravi Gupta as Principal Home Secretary.
DGP Umesh Sharraf will join Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau, B. Poornachander Rao, Director General of Prisons, Rajiv Trivedi, and DGP M. Mahender Reddy. Mr. Rao and Mr. Trivedi are retiring from duty this month and October respectively.
Also, three IAS officers Arvind Kumar, K. Ramakrishna Rao, and Harpreet Singh have been promoted to the apex scale of IAS. They were retained in the same post. Their posts have been redesignated as that of Special Chief Secretary in their departments. The three officers are from1991 batch.
