CM KCR inaugurates state-of-the-art Command Control Centre

With in a month of getting a world class T-Hub 2.0, Hyderabad adds a new iconic landmark

The “City of Pearls”, by which Hyderabad is famously addressed as, got one more Big and Blue Pearl in the form of Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), which was inaugurated by CM K Chandrashekar Rao today.
ICCC is a iconic landmark and Centre of Excellence with five towers, with Tower A comprising 20 Floors with a helipad at the top. It will be a network of command centres and integrates functions of various wings of police department as well as different government departments.
This building was built at a cost of Rs. 600 crore with construction done by Shapoorji Pallonji while technology consulting and digital solutions were delivered mainly by L & T Infotech.


CCTVs and command centres in all districts and different government departments will be linked with this centre so that one-stop co-ordination and quick action is possible in times of natural calamities, emergency or unforeseen situations or for daily monitoring for that matter.
Tower A of 20 floors is the new address for Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. Tower B is the Technology Fusion Centre with 15 floors which integrates police and all government departments with their back-end technologies. Towers C and D are equipped with media and training centres and a three-level auditorium to seat nearly 500 people. Tower E mainly acts as a command control and data centre.


The uniqueness of this building is that it is a certified green structure. It followed sustainable construction practices like Facade made entirely of glass to allow natural light and reduce energy consumption by 50 percent, scope to generate 0.5 MW of Solar Energy with panels equipped in the building, no use of wood and 35 percent of land allocated for plantation etc. ICC has a built up area of 4.26 lakh sq.feet and parking for 600 four-wheelers and 350 two-wheelers.

Focus on eradicating Cyber Crimes and Drug & Narcotics: KCR

Addressing the gathering consisting of present and retired IPS officers from the combined state as well as representatives of IT, Pharma and other industries, senior officials of government, KCR exuded confidence that ICCC and Telangana police and policing will become role models for the country to emulate. The new facility will further enhance the efforts and initiatives of the police as regards maintaining law and order and reducing crime rate in the state.


CM desired Telangana DGP to lay extra focus on curtailing Cyber Crimes for which a DG or additional DG rank officer can be appointed. How it is being dealt with at international level could be studied and best practices implemented, CM said, suggesting Telangana Police and State Higher Education to work in co-ordination to address the menace of Drugs and Narcotics, that is posing a threat to human lives and existence. While police can take care of stern action against offenders, including this as a syllabus in higher education will sensitize the youth not to fall prey to the menace, CM said.
