AYUSH Ministry has launched a campaign for distributing Ayush prophylactic medicines and guidelines on diet and lifestyle. This initiative is part of the activities under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The drive was launched by Minister For Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State for Ayush, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai in New Delhi.
Under this campaign, in the next one year, immunity booster medicines and the guidelines to fight COVID-19 will be distributed to 75 lakh people of India. Priority would be given to frontline workers and people who are 60 years and above.
Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Medicines (CCRAS) has prepared the kit and the guidelines that would be distributed to people. It contains Sanshamani Vati, which is also known as Guduchi or Giloy Ghan Vati and Ashwagandha Ghan Vati. The campaign is a step towards contributing to the vision and mission of PM Narendra Modi to ensure Health for All. 86 Ayush institutions across the country is participating to make the campaign a success.
