Amit Singhal, Head-Business Transformation and Skill Initiatives, Ansys Software Pvt Ltd while speaking at the recently concluded 2nd IndiGlobal Education Festival explained the tools that Ansys offers across industry verticals
“When we talk about the research and innovation, simulation comes at the top. Ansys has been the Gold Standard in Simulation for the last 50 years. Through simulation only we can do lots of vibrations quickly without making physical prototypes we can do lots of innovation and research and that’s where Ansys is focussed on. We are acquiring multiple companies to make our portfolio stronger,” he said.
Strong in R&D
Explaining about the company’s philosophy, Amit said that 30% of the business is ploughed back in Research and Design to bring better products to customers. The company has 10 lakh engineers on board who form a formidable group involved in finding solutions and taking the R & D to the next level.
“Most of the manufacturing and engineering companies use ANSYS, almost all the industry leaders use our tool. We run different programmes for training the professors, students, we run lots of symposiums, lots of projects as simulation is all about the practical not about the theory. But it’s all hands on internal, live and industry projects,” quipped Amit.
We have more than 300 commercial customers in India and we bring best of our Industry leaders in this programme and have a joint partnership with government and colleges. We also can help with global collaborations as well, he further added.
We cover all aspects by our Ansys tool- we do electric vehicle stimulation, Electromagnetic PCB, 3D IC Semiconductor, drone, RF Antenna & Robotics. Institutions are looking to invest in new technologies and when we speak of research and innovation, simulation comes right on top.
We are living in exciting times with new technologies coming in. Drones for instance have a huge potential, in the future even our boundaries would be protected by drones.
Not only this we have tools for electronics systems like semiconductors, early sign off, we have tools for high sign off low frequency sign off. Also, Ansys all aspects of smart product development. We also have solutions for healthcare sector. Ansys simulation platform enables comprehensive simulation of all engineering aspects. 80% of the top 50 healthcare companies use our tools.
Ansys learning hub
Ansys has a platform called Ansys learning hub where the focus is on increasing the speed of development and one can actually sit at home and take the courses. At Ansys learning hub there are 60 products, 52 learning rooms, collaborative learning rooms, 230 plus courses, 900 plus workshops and 240 hrs of eLearning.
“We have the app of Ansys learning hub at google play and apple app store so that you can learn even when you are traveling. Our Course curriculum is designed by professionals. CADFEM is Ansys’ lead partner. They are the biggest partner for ANSYS globally and they also have their own courses on their portal. They have 21+ companies, 3000+ customers, 500+ employees and they are present in 20+ countries with 98 % customers’ satisfaction ratio,” informed Amit.
