Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned as Punjab Congress Chief. He sent his resignation letter to party chief Sonia Gandhi in which he has shown his willingness to continue to serve the Congress even though he is resigning as Punjab Congress Chief. His stint has been a short one. He was appointed on July 23 after months of feud with Amarinder Singh, who eventually resigned as the state’s Chief Minister on 18th September.
Sidhu posted his resignation letter on twitter as well. His resignation has come on a day when former Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh is visiting Delhi. It is being speculated by many that he is visiting the national capital with the purpose to meet home minister Amit Shah, though there is no confirmation as such from both the sides. Congress Party Chief’s reactions on the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu is not yet known.
