Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV) during a landmark national workshop in Vijayawada. He inaugurated the Amaravati Quantum Declaration—a strategic blueprint to transform Amaravati into India’s premier deep‑tech hub Scheduled to be operational by January 1, 2026, the venture positions Amaravati as “South Asia’s first quantum valley”
Core Infrastructure: QChipIN & IBM’s 156‑qubit System
Central to AQV is QChipIN, envisioned as India’s largest open quantum testbed. Located within the upcoming Quantum Valley Tech Park on a 50‑acre designated site QChipIN will pilot quantum solutions in healthcare, banking, logistics, space, defence, and more.
Leveraging industry collaborations—especially with IBM, TCS, and L&T—AP is set to host IBM’s 156‑qubit Quantum System‑Two by 2026. By 2030, the state hopes to scale to 1,000‑qubit machines and hundreds of algorithm tests annually.

Global Partnerships & Knowledge Ecosystem
On June 29, Naidu hosted a high‑profile dinner bringing together global tech leaders—from IBM, TCS, and Microsoft to AT&T, Warner Bros and Bharat Biotech—along with representatives from the U.S. Consulate, DST, NITI Aayog, and major universities. This underlines a strong international commitment to building AQV as a vibrant R&D ecosystem.
Economic & Strategic Impact
- Job creation: Over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs anticipated by 2026
- Investment roadmap: ₹4,000 crore quantum mission split into Phase I (2025–27: infrastructure & pilot development) and Phase II (2027–30: commercialization & exports)
- Land allocation: 50 acres earmarked for the Quantum Valley Tech Park, with IBM, TCS and L&T anchoring its early development.
Future Outlook
CM Naidu envisions AQV as India’s counterpart to Silicon Valley—fusing research, manufacturing, education, and startups. With support from the Union government’s National Quantum Mission, major companies, and academic institutions, Andhra Pradesh aims to secure a global deep‑tech leadership role by 2035
