The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) today declared the results for the 2nd Pre University exam. Candidates will be able to check their results at karresults.nic.in and for Englishpue.karnataka.gov.in/english.
This year, the overall pass percentage has been recorded as 74.67 per cent. Out of the 7,27,923 students who registered for the exam, 7,02,067 students appeared and 5,24,209 students have been declared pass in this year’s Class 12 exams. The exams were held from March 9 to March 29. This year, 4492 students missed the exam after the Department of Pre University brought back the 75 per cent compulsory rule. In 2022, 6,83,563 students appeared for the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam out of which 4,22,966 students passed. The overall pass percentage last year was 61.88 per cent.
Dakshina Kannada district had the highest pass percentage with 95.33 per cent. Udipi came second with 95.24 per cent students passing the exam. Kodagu bagged the third spot district-wise with 90.55 per cent.
Tabassum, Ananya & Koushik shine
Tabassum Shaik of NMKRV PU College for women in Bengaluru secured first position in Arts stream with 593 out of 600 marks. Ananya KA of Alva’ PU College of Dakshina Kannada topped the Commerce stream with a perfect score of 600 out of 600 and SM Koushik of Gangothri PU College of Kolar district bagged the first position in Science stream with 596 out 600.
