Vartika Shukla becomes first woman Chairperson and MD of Engineers India Limited

Vartika Shukla has becomes the first ever woman Chairperson and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited (EIL). Engineers India Limited is a government corporation under the ownership of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. It was set up in the year 1965 to provide engineering and related technical services to petroleum refineries and other industrial projects.

Shukla is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. She joined EIL in the year 1988. She has a rich career and experience in engineering, design, and implementation of complexes in petrochemicals, fertilizers, gas processing, refining etc. Shukla has successfully completed many prestigious projects for clients in petrochemicals and oil & gas industry both in India as well as abroad.

She has been playing a great role in EIL’s initiatives in new energy areas like coal gasification, hydrogen energy, waste to fuel, bio fuels etc. with the purpose of strengthening energy infrastructure as well as to promote sustainability mission of Government of India.
