Reeling out statistics, he shared- Girls enrolment ratio too has been showing an upward trend and is no less than phenomenal. Out of the 320 PG colleges in Telangana State in M Sc course, 76 % are girl students. With regards to one college for one lakh population, Telangana State stands in second position in the country. The policies of the government, especially the fee reimbursement scheme is paying rich dividends in the enrolment ratio going up. In all 95 colleges received NAAC accreditation which is a testimony to the good work, he added.

Invest in teachers
A pertinent question is how one would teach first generation learners in remote areas. How could inclusiveness be brought into the fold? How can curriculum be tweaked to suit such students? These are the questions that one should ask he said. Teaching is a part of our lives and how it is shaping the expectations of the students.

Prof Limbadri expressed concern on vital aspect-developing communication skills to students who are studying in the hinterland. He said, “Communication was becoming a problem for students from far flung areas especially in grabbing jobs. These are the issues that need to be addressed.”
