Covid booster doses in Telangana starting today

Health Minister T Harish Rao has announced that the Nutrition Kit scheme, a new initiative of Telangana health department, would be launched in coming days. Due to CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s vision, Telangana would be adding 10,000 new beds in state hospitals this year. Warangal Health City works are going on at a brisk pace and it is likely to be completed by this December, he said, adding that Telangana has become a role model for the entire country.
Harish inaugurated a 100-bed hospital in Choutuppal, Nalgonda on Tuesday. Addressing media later, Harish emphasized that Telangana was doing wonders in the health sector. Even Niti Aayog lauded the work and initiatives of the Telangana government, he added.
Kidney Dialysis services are being extended free of cost to fluoride victims. 102 Dialysis centres have been set up by the government, the minister said. LB Nagar will be having a state super-specialty hospital in the near future, he said.
Covid booster dose in TS starts today
In view of the spike in Covid cases in various States, Telangana government has decided to administer booster doses to people from Wednesday (April 19). The Health department has procured 5 lakh Corbevax doses for this purpose. People, who have earlier taken two doses (either of Covaxin or Covishield) can take the booster dose in any of the PHCs or CHCs without any worries, officials said.
