PM Narendra Modi holds bilateral talks with Danish PM

PM Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Mette Frederiksen, his Danish counterpart in Delhi today. Frederiksen has come to India for a three-day visit to the country that will include meetings with President Ram Nath Kovind and top ministers as well. Her visit is a chance to evaluate and advance the India-Denmark Green Strategic Partnership.

Her visit is being considered significant by India because she is the first head of state to visit the country since COVID-19 restrictions. S. Jaishankar, the external affairs minister of India had visited Denmark earlier this year. Both the countries have extensive commercial and business relations. More than 200 Danish businesses operate in India, and more than 60 Indian enterprises run in Denmark. Frederiksen called PM Modi “an inspiration.” She mentioned that he is an inspiration for the rest of the world because he has set some very ambitious targets on several areas including clean water for over 1million households and renewable energy.
