Hyderabad’s Nature Cure Hospital gets a big makeover with Rs 10 crore

Chief Minister K Chandra Shekar Rao’s desire is to make Telangana a care-of address in the country for Naturopathy and traditional Indian medicine treatments, informed, T Harish Rao, Health Minister on Saturday. Telangana government is leaving no stone unturned to promote traditional Indian medicine in a big way, he said.

Harish Rao was speaking after inaugurating the new state-of-the-art facilities that were taken up as part of a big facelift to the state-run Nature Cure Hospital in Hyderabad with a budget of Rs 10 crore approximately. Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and TSMSIDC Chairman Erolla Srinivas also graced the occasion.

Harish Rao wished that Nature Cure Hospital should develop and grow to an extent that patients from all over India knock on its doors for treatment just like patients from various states throng Hyderabad hospitals for treatment in modern medicine.

It was revealed that the Telangana government is working in every way to promote traditional Indian medicine. Nature Cure Dispensary wants to grow so that patients from all over the country come here to get treatment in Hyderabad, which is a health hub, and also to get Ayush treatment.

“Healing with nature, healing with Pancha Bhutas (five elements of nature)… that is nature’s healing. That is Naturopathy. It is a complete Indian medical practice. Naturopathy is a completely drug-free healing method. Naturopathy has a special place in Ayush medicine. Chronic diseases are also treated in a completely natural way. Diabetes, BP, Arthritis, Knee Pain, PCOD, Back Pain, Paralysis, Sciatica, Overweight, Thyroid, Disc Problems, Psoriasis, and many other chronic diseases are also treated,” Harish said.

Established in 1949, Nature Cure Hospital is a model for the country in the field of Naturopathy. It is a matter of pride for us that the graduates of affiliated medical colleges are working in the famous naturopathic clinics across the country, the minister said.

Many people remember the quarantine services provided by this hospital during the Corona pandemic, said Harish, adding that more than 8 thousand virus-infected patients were provided quarantine services and more than 30 thousand RTPCR tests were conducted in the hospital. Nearly 3 thousand in-patients and 10 thousand outpatients are treated every year. Minister Harish Rao stated that celebrities from various fields, government officials, public representatives, and people from other States are getting admitted to Nature Cure Hospital for treatment.
