As a part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gujarat Chapter carried out a detailed meeting on steps to be taken for rain water harvesting.
Mr. Ashish Desai, Chair, Gujarat State Chapter, PHDCCI, says, “Water is a scarce resource. Too much water is wasted as it is free. We have failed to preserve water in the best ways possible and hence are facing problems. We as individuals and as an industry need to join in united efforts to save water, not only for us but also for our next generation. Every Drop saved is important, every drop saved is critical”.
Ahmedabad is where they want rainwater harvesting pits to be implemented first and will later shift to other cities of Baroda and Surat.
The eminent guests present were Mr. Setu Shah, Founder, Sujalaam, Ahmedabad, Mr. Mohanish Jaju, Marcom Manager, Green Water-Revolution Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Mr. Ashish Desai, Chair, Gujarat State Chapter, PHDCCI, Mr. Vivek Seigell, Assistant Secretary-General, PHDCCI and the session was moderated by Mr. Dharmendra Joshi, Advisor, Gujarat State Chapter, PHDCCI.
Mr Mohanish Jaju, Marcom Manager, Green Water-Revolution Pvt. Ltd says, “There are new scientifically tested technologies which can be used to treat domestic and industrial wastewater to improve the quality and quantity of groundwater. These methods will help to preserve water for all human needs throughout the year.”
