Daily Covid-19 vaccination crosses 1-crore mark for the 4th time in India in less than 1 month

Daily COVID-19 vaccinations have crossed the one-crore mark for the fourth time in less than a month. With this the total number of doses administered in the country is close to 78 crores, according to a statement by the Union Health Ministry. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has mentioned that this time it is the fastest pace at which one crore doses have been administered. He mentioned in a tweet in Hindi that on Prime Minister’s Birthday, till 1:30 pm the country crossed the mark of 1 crore vaccines. He also mentioned that today there can be a new record in this regard as a gift to the PM. As part of PM’s birthday celebrations, BJP’s units across the country are helping in getting a large number of people vaccinated today.
The three other days when daily COVID-19 vaccination in the country crossed one crore mark was on August 27, August 31 and September 6 respectively. According to the figures provided by the health ministry, “India took 24 days to reach 40 crores from 30 crore doses and then 20 more days to cross the 50-crore vaccination mark on August 6. It took 19 more days to cross the 60-crore mark and took only 13 days to reach 70 crores from 60 crore on Sep 7, the ministry said. The total number of doses administered in India had crossed 75 crores on September 13.”
