Country’s first Atal Community Innovation Center launched at Vivekananda Global University

The first Atal Community Innovation Center (ACIC) of India has been launched at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur (VGU). It is the first center in the country to be set up by the Government of India, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog. Idea behind Atal Community Innovation Centers is to encourage a spirit of entrepreneurship in the underserved/unserved regions of India by providing and enabling infrastructure and facilitating environment for innovation. VGU-ACIC aims to support and nurture innovative ideas in order to transform society for a better tomorrow. It will be benefitting the promising businessmen of Rajasthan so that their businesses grow to new heights.

VGU-ACIC will provide assistance ranging from 5 to 10 lakh rupees to its first few incubates. They will be mentored to achieve their entrepreneurial goals. ACIC VGU Foundation has also tied up with Neo Angeles on Youth Accelerator, under which funding of up to Rs 50 lakh will be provided to 5 startups. On the occasion of the launch of VGU-ACIC, fifteen talented young entrepreneurs were allowed to showcase their products live in a startup flee market arranged for the occasion. Dr. Chintan Vaishnav, Director, AIM, NITI Aayog, Government of India, inaugurated the centre.
