Colombian Vice President arrives in New Delhi for bilateral talks

Marta Lucia Ramirez who is Vice President as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Columbia has landed today in the national capital accompanied by business delegation to hold bilateral discussions. They are in India for extensive engagements covering all aspects of bilateral relations. Special focus would be on science and technology, vaccine development and biotechnology as per a tweet from Ministry of External Affairs.
Colombia and India established diplomatic relations on January 19, 1959 and has completed 60 years of diplomatic relations in 2019. In March 1972, Colombia opened its embassy in New Delhi, India. The following year India established its embassy in Bogota. In these years, the relationship between the two countries has expanded in political, commercial and cultural fields. India and Colombia have had friendly and cordial bilateral relations. Both countries collaborate in various multilateral fora.
