Earlier, Prakash Ambedkar inaugurated the Circular Base building, similar to Indian Parliament, shouldering the imposing statue. Later the dignitaries went through a photo exhibition which had rare pictures of Dr Ambedkar. An audio-visual presentation was played depicting the life of India’s greatest visionary leader and the efforts put in for making the statue.
The statue was built with a cost of Rs 146.5 crore by the Telangana government, which claimed this as the tallest statue of Ambedkar in the world.
