Hyderabad: The two-day 2 nd IndiGlobal Education festival ended with a musical rendition of Mr Antony saxophonist here on Saturday bringing down curtains to what can be considered one of the most balanced education festivals that was interspersed with dialogues on issues pertaining to education and practical demonstration to the ailing problems especially the age-old issue of rote learning.
Over the two-days, there were interesting panel discussions on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from “Role of modern educational institutions driving new-age India, Implementation Challenges of NEP, Evolving Landscape of Management Studies, Reimagining Vocational, Technical Education and Training, Quality Accreditation & Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions to name a few. In the school track- Challenges after reopening schools, Futuristic Education, Blended Learning & New- age technologies, Social and mental well-being of students, After 10th: Courses and Opportunities, Multiple avenues after class 12 were discussed. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India through a message appealed to all the stake holders in the education sector to take forward the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

A panel discussion on sports in education and how to churn out international sports stars was the core of the discussion with issues on infrastructure, awareness, career prospects; role of educational institutions and parents was discussed at length by former national cyclist Dr Maxwell Trevor, former footballer Victor Amal Raj, Roja Paul, Principal, Meridian School, Vishal Kurma, CEO, Woxsen University and Aarti Nalge, Video Analyst, BCCI. A video message by Pullella Gopichand was played who exhorted one and all to make sports an integral part of education as it helps not just in being fit but to stay mentally healthy. The session was moderated by Col. Praveen, In-charge, Training and Administration, National Cadet Corps, Secunderabad.
